This page includes the responses of teachers in Illinois and Texas who completed a survey based on their students’ use of the See-N-Read. They have graciously agreed to allow their comments to be included in our web site.

Survey Answers:

1. In your opinion, did the students like using the See-N-Read when they read?
Yes, they were excited about using it.

2. Can you identify any specific feature of the See-N-Read™ that most benefited the students?
The See-N-Read fits the page of most books so it is not bulky to use. The “window” for reading is off centered so if you get to the bottom of the page you do not need to turn it around.

3. What do you think the students liked most about the See-N-Read?
They felt more successful in comprehending what they read. Some said they could see the lines better that they were reading and didn’t drop their eyes to the next few lines but were able to follow along easier.

4. Can you identify any specific reading skill in which the See-N-Read was helpful to students?
Comprehension. They could concentrate better on what they were reading by tracking with the See-n-read™.

5. What do you like about the See-N-Read?
Help the students read, good size, easy to manage, makes a great book mark. I encourage students to use it as a book mark mainly to keep up with it or else they would lose it.

6. Would you use the See-N-Read with your students on a regular basis? Would you recommend the See-N-Read to other teachers or to parents?
I would recommend the See-N-Read to students, especially those with learning disabilities. I think Special Ed. and Reading students and teachers would benefit from it.
